Privacera Pioneers Responsible AI Governance with Breakthrough PAIG Advancements

by Matthew Sullivant

As AI technologies continue to evolve and generative AI finds its way into more enterprise workflows – organizations face a growing need for robust governance and risk management strategies. This is why you need to consider AI Governance in a unique manner. Hence, we incorporated major updates to our Platform for AI Governance (PAIG), purpose-built to help enterprises secure, monitor, and control their AI applications from end to end.

These responsible AI governance enhancements align PAIG to the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF). This helps guide your organization to have a clear, structured approach to evaluating and mitigating AI risks. It’s our way of making it easier for your companies to adopt responsible, compliant AI practices  – without impeding innovation.

AI Risk Management Framework

Why AI Governance Matters More Than Ever

AI systems aren’t like traditional software. They learn, adapt, and make decisions in ways that are harder to predict and explain. That unpredictability can introduce risks, including bias, misuse, data leakage, or intellectual property exposure – and those risks can arise from both technical issues and human behavior.

The NIST AI RMF provides a standardized way to tackle these risks through four core functions:

  • Govern: Embed AI risk management into organizational policies and practices
  • Map: Understand and document AI system risks
  • Measure: Continuously monitor AI system performance and behavior
  • Manage: Take steps to mitigate identified risks and ensure accountability

By aligning PAIG with these core principles, we’re giving enterprises the tools they need to proactively identify and reduce AI-related risks, from experimentation to production.

What’s New in PAIG?

We’ve introduced three core components to the PAIG platform – PAIG Navigator, PAIG Lens, and PAIG Guard – each designed to fulfill a key function of the NIST framework:

PAIG Navigator: Map Your AI Landscape

Navigator helps you build a comprehensive inventory of your AI assets – tracking their components, dependencies, and potential risks. It analyzes sensitive data exposure, IP risks, and potential for misuse, and continuously checks your systems against compliance frameworks like NIST, so you can stay ahead of regulatory requirements.

PAIG Lens: Measure and Monitor Risk

Lens enables you to test and evaluate AI systems over time. From detecting bias and data leakage to surfacing IP violations, PAIG Lens gives you visibility into how your AI systems behave in the real world. Think of it as a real-time diagnostic tool for your AI stack.

PAIG Guard: Mitigate and Manage with Guardrails

Once you’ve identified risks, Guard lets you act on them. You can set policies, enforce user access controls, apply filters, and restrict models to ensure safe, compliant AI usage. Guard also automates remediation workflows, helping you close the loop on AI risk management.

Aligned with NIST, Open to All

By integrating with the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, PAIG helps companies operationalize AI governance in a consistent, repeatable way. And because we believe in democratizing access to responsible AI, we’re making these enhanced capabilities available in both open source and PAIG Cloud.

Whether you’re deploying GenAI internally or bringing AI products to market, PAIG now gives you the tools to go fast – safely.
